| The Kauffman Youth
Development Institute, Inc. was founded in January of 1992 under the name Academic/Sports
Youth Development Institute, Inc. and is a non-profit organization. At present
the most active program exists in Kent, Ohio. |
The purpose of the Institute is to work in tandem with the parents and the existing
educational system, whether it be local or state, thereby providing a support system for
the schools and for the youth attending them. Since
our inception in 1992, we have successfully served over 5000 youth in all three
instructional levels in the state of Ohio. And have served over 600 students in our
Alternative School program that we started five years ago |

During our eight years in Ohio, we have worked closely with the Kent City School
District in Kent, the Tallmadge School District in Tallmadge, the Woodridge School
District in Peninsula, and the Cuyahoga Falls School District in Cuyahoga Falls. |
