After School Tutoring Program
The KYDI provides tutoring for all students. These tutoring sessions are held four evenings a week, Monday through Thursday. There is one certified teacher present during the tutoring session as well as volunteer tutors. During the school year, assistance is given to seniors in filling out College Applications and Financial Aid Applications. For those in 9th through Ilth grade, students are provided with transportation in order to visit different colleges. Some colleges visited have been Central State University, Norfolk University, and the Hampton Institute. A volunteer typing service is provided to students with term papers, reports, or other special classroom assignments.
